Spero Stefanis, Pharm D & George Stefanis, RPH
Alfred Hyde founded Hyde Drug Store in 1890. The Hydes began a tradition of personal service for their patients that continued through 2 more sets of owners until Pharmacist George Stefanis purchased the business. George is a 1978 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. He continues to maintain the level of personal service created by the Hydes. By utilizing the modern technology available to pharmacies today, Hyde Drug Store takes personalized service to a new level and it is not something you find at the large corporate pharmacies that everyone is familiar with.
George’s son, Spero Stefanis Pharm. D. joined him officially in 2012, although he did spend the previous 8 years working at the pharmacy while attending high school and college. Spero brings with him all the knowledge of a graduate of Duquesne University School of Pharmacy and the technological skills available to best deliver up to date patient care. George and Spero plan to ensure that Hyde Drug Store continues the traditions their customers have known and appreciate.

We have a full line of home healthcare items and equipment regularly available, including wheelchairs, walkers, canes, respiratory supplies, support stockings, etc. Our Compounding Department specially formulates medicine for your individual needs, including your pet’s!
